Total Fire Protection (TFP) announced on September 18 that it has added Victory Fire Protection of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to its network. The deal is TFP’s first Pennsylvania presence, its ninth location, and its expansion into a fifth state after Michigan, Florida, Colorado, and Montana. Victory’s current owner, Digger Weigand, remains president. The combined organization will sell Victory’s sprinkler book alongside TFP’s Total Fire & Security and Total Industrial Solutions divisions — alarm and monitoring on one side, dry chemical, foam, flame detection, and fire pumps on the other.
The asset.
Victory Fire Protection was founded in 1993 by Vic and Sue Weigand and is now led by Digger Weigand. Based in Pottstown, it serves homeowners, residential builders, and commercial contractors across Pennsylvania with in-house sprinkler design, installation, inspections, maintenance, retrofits, repairs, and 24-hour emergency support. That is a classic local sprinkler franchise: project install and renovation paired with inspection and testing that keeps accounts coming back.
The platform.
Total Fire Protection was founded in 1991 by Harry Goossens and is led day-to-day by his sons Ryan and Jonathan Goossens from Grand Rapids, Michigan. In February 2026, David Williams’s family office MRE Capital invested in TFP as a new fire-and-life-safety platform, with Ryan and Jon remaining material owners and day-to-day operators. Pre-Victory, the company operated across Michigan, Florida, Colorado, and Montana. The Victory release lists the combined service set as fire sprinkler design, installation, repair, inspections, testing, and maintenance; fire alarm and security design, installation, and monitoring; industrial solutions including dry chemical and foam suppression, flame detectors, and fire pumps; special-hazard testing; and 24-hour emergency service.
Ryan Goossens framed the combination as shared values and scale: two teams better equipped to serve customers and support employees. Weigand said Pennsylvania customers keep the same local service, now with national resources, technology, and the broader Total Fire & Security and Total Industrial Solutions capabilities behind the sprinkler relationship.
Pennsylvania beachhead.
Pennsylvania becomes the fifth state and the ninth named location — a Mid-Atlantic beachhead for a Midwest-founded, family-office-backed FLS platform that has already planted Florida, Colorado, and Montana flags. Victory’s sprinkler book is the door; alarm, monitoring, and industrial special hazard are what the platform wants to sell through that door on day one.
Owners watching FLS consolidation already have national and regional PE examples on the board — Summit stacking Texas sprinkler density, Right Angle’s FPT densifying Connecticut, Hidden Harbor standing up Escape Fire in the Upper Midwest. TFP is the same shape from a family-office angle: founder operators still on the truck, capital behind selective state-by-state expansion, and a clear preference for partners who can carry more than one life-safety line.
What it means.
For commercial and residential fire protection owners in Pennsylvania and the broader Mid-Atlantic, MRE-backed Total Fire is now a named buyer in market — hunting respected local shops willing to keep management in place while plugging into a multi-state FLS wallet. The practical questions on the next inbound are the usual ones: how much of the book is recurring inspection and testing versus project install, whether the buyer wants a sprinkler specialist or a shop already carrying alarm and special hazard, and whether Weigand-style continuity is on the table.
