Service Country, the Atlanta-based residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical platform backed by Grove Mountain Partners, announced on September 28 that it has partnered with five more companies: GNG Plumbing, Bailey’s Heating & Air, Southern Trust Home Services, All Tech Plumbing, Heat & Air, and Springfield Heating and Air. The five are based in Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Each will continue operating under its existing brand and local leadership.
The assets.
- GNG Plumbing, Orange Beach, Alabama. More than 40 years serving Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and nearby Gulf Coast communities; residential and commercial plumbing, including grinder pump, drain cleaning, leak detection, and water heater work.
- Bailey’s Heating & Air, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. More than 30 years in North Georgia; residential heating and air repair, replacement, and maintenance, plus indoor air quality, ductwork, and weatherization.
- Southern Trust Home Services, Roanoke, Virginia. Founded in 1995 as a small electrical business; now residential electrical, plumbing, and HVAC across Southwest Virginia.
- All Tech Plumbing, Heat & Air, Lawton, Oklahoma. Residential heating, cooling, and plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Springfield Heating and Air, Madison, Mississippi. Founded in 2007 by Morgan Springfield; residential heating, air conditioning, and plumbing across the Madison and Jackson markets.

The platform.
Grove Mountain Partners, an Atlanta private equity firm that invests in middle-market home service and specialty business service companies with $15 million to $200 million of annual revenue, launched Service Country in March 2024. It was Grove Mountain’s second platform in the sector, following Unique Indoor Comfort, which the firm built and sold. PNC Erieview Capital invested alongside Grove Mountain and management at the platform’s creation. Grove Mountain also backs Texas home services platform Team First.
George Easley is CEO of Service Country, and John B. Koch, a Partner at Grove Mountain, is Chairman. Partner companies keep their names and leadership and draw on Service Country for marketing, operations, training, and technology. In earlier announcements, the owners or presidents of McGee, Childers, Holsenback, Bob Woodall, Castle Air, and Childress stayed with their companies and reinvested equity or kept an ownership stake in the platform.
Service Country’s earlier partnerships, by announcement date:
- March 2024 — McGee Heating & Air, with locations in Hartwell, Elberton, and Athens, Georgia, and Anderson and Easley, South Carolina. The platform’s first partner; the deal closed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
- September 2024 — Childers Air, Plumbing & Electric, Beckley, West Virginia; Holsenback Heating and Air, Monetta, South Carolina; and Bob Woodall Air Care Systems, Dothan, Alabama.
- July 2025 — Castle Air, Englewood, Florida, and Childress Heating & Cooling, Gadsden, Alabama.
Small markets, local names, more trades.
Every town on the list is a smaller city or regional hub: Orange Beach, Fort Oglethorpe, Roanoke, Lawton, and Madison join Hartwell, Beckley, Monetta, Dothan, Englewood, and Gadsden. Service Country describes that small-market focus as its strategy, and it has kept each partner’s brand and leadership in place in every announcement so far.
This group also shifts the service mix. Service Country’s own map lists five of its six earlier partners as HVAC companies, with Childers the one HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shop. Of the five new partners, GNG is a plumbing company, Southern Trust covers all three trades, and All Tech and Springfield both do plumbing alongside HVAC. All Tech also takes the platform west into Oklahoma; the release describes the five as expanding Service Country across the Southeast and into Oklahoma.
What it means.
For residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical owners in smaller Southern markets, Service Country is picking up its pace: one partner at launch in March 2024, three in September 2024, two in July 2025, and five in this announcement. Its targets are established companies in smaller markets, and its earlier announcements show founders and presidents staying in place with equity in the platform. Owners weighing that kind of offer should get clear early on how much of the value is paid in cash at closing, how much is rolled into platform equity, and what their role will be after the deal.
