Glamorgan Heating & Cooling, a residential HVAC contractor based in Mechanicville, New York, has joined the Rocket Group network, Rocket announced on September 24. Rocket counts Glamorgan as its 13th brand, and it is the network’s first partner in New York State. Glamorgan serves homeowners across the Capital Region, including Albany, Saratoga, Troy, Schenectady, and Clifton Park. Rocket Group Holdings is led by founder and CEO Victor Rancour.
The asset.
Nick Hitt started Glamorgan in 2022 and has grown it quickly since. The company installs and repairs air conditioning, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, ductless systems, and water heaters for homeowners across more than 25 Capital Region communities, with EPA-certified technicians and 24/7 emergency service. The mix is weighted to heating and hot water, which fits a market with long winters and steady year-round replacement demand. Hitt said the partnership gives his team “the tools and support to deliver an even higher level of service” and called it “the right next step.”
The platform.
Rocket Group describes itself as a home services network and consulting company built to partner with and grow HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and insulation companies. Rancour founded Absolute Air Flow in Southern California in 2018, scaled it past $65 million of revenue, and sold it in 2023 before launching Rocket in May 2024. Rocket partners with founders and takes a stake in their businesses; several of its announcements describe “significant investments” in the partner company, and founders typically stay on to run it. Rancour has publicly described Rocket as one of the largest non-PE-backed platforms in home services. Rocket also runs a contractor coaching and events business alongside the portfolio.
Partner brands keep their names, local leadership, and phone numbers. From day one Glamorgan plugs into Rocket’s national vendor relationships, call center training, sales coaching, and marketing systems, plus RGBI, Rocket’s new proprietary AI platform for HVAC operators. RGBI analyzes inbound calls, tracks technician close rates, integrates QuickBooks financials, and flags missed revenue. “Our job now is to take what he built and grow it faster and stronger than either of us could do alone,” Rancour said of Hitt.

Months reflect first public announcement (Rocket Group releases, HVAC Insider, HVACR Today, Contracting Business, and Victor Rancour on LinkedIn). Rocket counts Glamorgan as its 13th brand, and its current brand map above shows 12. Rocket’s own numbering has shifted over time: TLS was announced as its 13th in April 2026 and Clemmer Services as its 14th in July 2026. The four tagged brands were announced by Rocket but do not appear on the current map, and we could not confirm whether they remain in the network.
Small founder shops, one new state at a time.
Rocket launched with a stated focus on HVAC and plumbing companies doing roughly $1–5 million of revenue, and the roster still reads that way. Blues Air was just over a year old with four vans when it joined; ProThermal was founded in 2019; Glamorgan dates to 2022. Older brands such as Bellaire, a Houston name with a half-century in the market, sit alongside them. Most additions open a new state for the network — Washington, Delaware, Florida, Minnesota, and now New York — while Arizona and Texas are where Rocket has added multiple brands. Rancour has said he is pushing for 20 locations by the end of 2026.
The operating model is centralized: call handling, sales process, marketing, purchasing, and financial reporting run on Rocket’s systems and RGBI, while the founder keeps running the field. The pitch to founders is growth capacity — Rocket supplies the back office and sales machinery that a young founder-led shop usually has not built yet.
What it means.
For residential HVAC and plumbing owners in the Capital Region and wider upstate New York, Rocket now has a local brand on the ground and represents another option to weigh alongside a traditional sale. Rocket partners with founders and takes a stake in the business, and it has tended to back younger, founder-led companies with growth still ahead while keeping the local name and team in place. In Arizona and Texas it added second and third brands after its first, so Glamorgan may not be its last New York partnership. For an owner who wants capital and back-office support while staying involved in the business, the model is worth understanding, and the ownership split and the founder’s ongoing role are details to get clear early in any conversation.
