On October 20, 2026, Fix-It Group announced a partnership with Lickety Split Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical in Jacksonville, Florida. Fix-It says it is the platform’s seventh partnership of 2026 and its twelfth market nationwide. Lickety Split is Fix-It’s second Florida market, five months after it entered the state through Sergeant’s Electric.
The asset.
Lickety Split is a Jacksonville residential service company covering air conditioning, plumbing and electrical work. Fix-It’s release says the business “has experienced remarkable growth in just three years.” Fix-It frames the partnership around investing in Lickety Split’s people, strengthening its operations and raising the standard of service for Jacksonville homeowners.
The company’s age sets this deal apart. Several of Fix-It’s 2026 partners are decades-old family businesses, including AL-DON in St. Louis (founded 1959) and Magnolia Heating & Cooling in Riverside (founded 1951). Lickety Split is a young, fast-growing shop that already offers all three trades, so Fix-It is paying for momentum and a market position in a new metro.
The platform.
CEO George Donaldson, who began his career as a master electrician, founded Fix-It Group in 2017. It grew from a single Denver HVAC and plumbing shop into a multi-state residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical platform. New Harbor Capital invested in 2020, and Two Parks Capital acquired the business from New Harbor in February 2025.
The local brand stays on the trucks, and Fix-It adds shared marketing, recruiting and operating support. The company says its partner companies grow to more than three times their original size, on average, within two years of partnering.
Fix-It Group’s 2026 partnerships.
Fix-It has announced seven partnerships so far in 2026:
- Ballard Natural Gas Service, Seattle, WA: April 7, 2026
- Magnolia Heating & Cooling, Riverside, CA: April 2026 (the release gives the month only)
- Sergeant’s Electric, North Port, Bradenton and Sarasota, FL: May 5, 2026
- Oasis Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Chicago, IL: May 20, 2026
- Hosack Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Greater St. Louis: July 14, 2026
- AL-DON Heating & Air Conditioning, St. Louis, MO: September 17, 2026
- Lickety Split Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical, Jacksonville, FL: October 20, 2026
We covered Sergeant’s Electric and AL-DON when they were announced.
A second Florida market, on the other coast.
Sergeant’s gave Fix-It a foothold on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Lickety Split puts the platform in Jacksonville, a separate Northeast Florida metro with its own customers and labor pool. Fix-It is entering a second metro with a shop that already does all three trades, which gives it a base for local add-ons over time. St. Louis shows the pattern: Hosack in July, then AL-DON two months later.
For Florida owners, one more PE-backed residential buyer now operates on both coasts of the state, alongside the national platforms already active there.
What it means.
Platforms are buying more than 40-year-old legacy shops. A young business with real growth and a three-trade service mix can draw a platform partnership, especially when it opens a new metro for the buyer. Seven deals in about six and a half months also shows how fast a well-funded residential platform can move once it has a model that works. If you run an HVAC, plumbing or electrical shop in Northeast Florida, Fix-It is now a local buyer, and its next deal in Jacksonville would likely be an add-on to Lickety Split.
